COVID-19 has forced most schools to operate virtually for the fall. But kids across the country rely on school meals for breakfast and lunch during the week. With nearly 7 million more children at risk of hunger due to COVID-19, communities urgently need flexibility to efficiently and easily provide meals to kids who need them.
If they act before the end of the month, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) can extend necessary waivers for the entire school year to ensure children still get access to school meals, even if the cafeteria is closed. Take action today to urge them to extend the waivers immediately.
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from Feeding America.
Protect children facing hunger: Extend critical waivers to provide meals to kids!
